We
were awakened early this morning just as it was getting light by the
boat ladder banging
on the side of the boat...it has rubber feet on it so no damage done
but it is heavy!.....it just shows you how strong the wind has been.
Again, tonight it is blowing.....we will haul in the ladder before
going to bed.
Late
today I walked over to the beach as the rain had not yet come and the
sky was a bit lighter than yesterday. The tide was rushing in
covering most of the beach.
Their
were bunches of Beach or Sand Sunflowers all around the edges of the
shore. They love the sand. In the middle of them was a coquina
rock. Coquina rock is sand quartz & tiny shells...formed long
ago.
We
wanted to visit a home near us.... so I knocked on the door and a
very nice lady, Hattie, came to the door. She was in her Pjs (it was
another cold day and what I call a good pajama day anyway). To our
surprise she graciously invited us inside...insisted on it! We sat
and visited for a while and then she gave us a tour of this large
home.
This
is only Half of the huge living room.
A carpeted winding
staircase going down....
Kingsize
master bedroom.
Lots
of storage on each side of bed plus a built in vanity table.
Behind
the master bedroom was a wonderful tub and a shower across from it.
Also
downstairs was a Second bedroom with twin beds with a bath across
hall. The grandkids had been here.
Beyond
that was a third bedroom with full bed and its own bath.
Back
upstairs and then down another short staircase to the kitchen/dining
area.
Across
from the table was a nice kitchen...out of sight on the left of the
photo was a double door refrigerator.
The
next room was down another couple of steps from the kitchen. Harriet
called it her husband's man-cave.
Walter
standing in the middle of it...... look close you might see that he
is drooling!
Down
the hall from the “man-cave” was double bed room with a hall
bath...4 full bathrooms and 4 bedrooms!
So,
where we were today? Was it really a kitchen or a galley? A living
room or a salon? Bedrooms or cabins?
Here
is another hint: A large sunroom and behind the wicker chairs on bottom of photo was a
large round table
that would seat 4 to 6 people.
Here
it is...an 85 foot Hatteras!!
Still
waiting on the rain & a warm day in Marineland.......
Wow! Talk about a home away from home! I knew it had to be a boat after the first picture...but...just...wow!!! And I especially enjoyed the picture of the little yellow flowers. There is hope of spring yet!
