Aboard First Light

What a perfect sunshiny day, not a cloud in the sky! Mild temperature with a soft breeze blowing over the marina....in other words, Florida in the winter! The Good Year Blimp stood out in the blue sky this morning.

I was taking photos of a neighbor boat here when the First mate, Beryl, stepped out and invited us inside.

The Boat's name is “First Light” and she calls Christmas Cove, Maine, home....a summer community where the owners have a summer place.  This pic shows the cockpit out back with chairs..... Beryl enjoys sitting here reading or having a drink.

This boat has a Lobster boat hull which Beryl and her husband bought and then built on the rest.

They owned a furniture restoration business so they already had a lot of pretty wood which they have used all over this one of a kind boat.

Looking forward toward the bow.....pilot berth on right behind the helm and a wonderful church pew like sofa on left.

Under the pilot berth are cabinets with beautiful maple wood.

I love the red sink!

This is the head (bathroom), again with gorgeous wood...shower on left and toilet on right.

Upper and lower bunks forward in the bow.

Looking aft from the bunk area showing the step up to the salon.

One last look as Beryl explains how they built this beauty.

My Valentine took me out to lunch today to my favorite spicy place and then we drove to a drug store for some Tums!  Crazy elderly folks with old tummies? Where?!!
