The
chart plotter arrived today and the Captain installed it and yet
AGAIN the radar is still NOT working! The note that came back from
Garmin was the same as when they returned the radar, “The problem
could not be duplicated”! Was the Captain upset? OH YEAH! He
called them and they only said to mail it back to them....this is a
costly deal as we must insure the package each time. Since we will
be mostly in the ICW going up the coast we will not send it back at
this time. We had considered doing an overnight in the ocean but that's out without the radar.
After
all the rain today the sunset was pretty tonight. Here the last rays
of the sun are hitting the masts of the sail boats.
We are not alone here!
We
have rented a car and I am going to visit a friend in Clearwater
(across the state) and to get my hair cut tomorrow. The Captain
wants to stay here in case the windlass motor is returned and hopefully he
will get it installed and we will be moving on the water soon.
