This
is a historic district about 3 miles from the boat. I waited until
the sun was low to walk as it was a warm day ....no
complaints...loving the heat!
This
was an area with bright colored shops and lots of outdoor eateries
which were busy for a Thursday night.
Along
the way I found this house which I loved because of the little court
yard. The fence around the yard was covered with flowered vines.
Then
there was this sculptured yard....even the trees across the sidewalk
on the side of the house were trimmed.
Just
beyond the shops was this twisty old oak tree.
This
door reminded me of the season.... the way the spring flower wreath
was used around the small window in the door...an empty cross and a
risen Savior!
Update
on windlass: The motor did come in today and our tech guy will be
here tomorrow at 830a to begin the insulation. We found out today
that the train bridge downtown on the River will be open on Saturday......so we might just be on the water this
weekend!
