It
was a cloudy overcast afternoon here but a good day to go exploring
around the docks. And while we were at it we decided to look for that
looper boat that came in recently posting on the Looper blog that he
was “behind” a houseboat.
We had not walked all of the 4 long docks here so this was an interesting afternoon looking at the variety of boats. Here is a houseboat that is parked next to us.
They are not retired but just like being full time “live-aboards”. She is the editor of the local paper and he works full time for the
marina.
This
is a huge houseboat behind us.....the fans on the front deck are
always on but we have not seen this folks since we arrived here
almost 4 weeks ago.
On
C dock we find this little houseboat at the gate......going by the
windows it may have two areas of bunk beds.
Another
small one on this dock.
Then
we walked down to D dock and found mostly sail boats and no
houseboats.
Going by the club house and pool area we went out the gate to A dock. This
was the last unexplored dock. Near the end of the dock we found this
houseboat which was named, “God's Glory”.
And
right across or in front of it was the elusive Looper boat, “Sea Ya,” and
owner Dave came out to chat with us. They completed the loop several
years ago.... of course we found all he had to say very
interesting....he is like Captain Walter, doing most all of his own
maintenance.
It
is so humid today... a warning of the forecast 100% rain to come
tomorrow.
Windlass
motor update: They just started working on it today!!!!....if our
tech guy and my Captain had just let this experienced nagger first
mate do the calling I bet those boys would have had that gizmo fixed
and shipped by now!
